A brief summary of ~Tyndaller's characters and gameplay for the curious.

basic backstory

You are a young girl known as Mirai. There is nothing special about you, you are just an average kid living in an average town in the middle of a desert about two miles away from the closest major city. Your city is without a hospital, but the last time you went to a hospital to get your blood tested on, you were traumatized of it. You have an intense fear of hospitals and blood, and never wanted to go there again. You were happy to know your town was without a hospital until the day you started to get very ill. How you started getting so sick, you really weren't able to find out in the limited amount of consciousness you had. The last thing you remember was sitting in your desk at school, and then nothingness.

You wake up in a hospital bed, nothing to serious, right? Until you remember how deathly afraid you are of hospitals and try to leave the damn place. Instead of being greeted by the usual city outside of the hospital you see a wasteland of 8-bit graphics and distorted sounds. It appears you are trapped in this hospital for now, unless you want to wander that god forsaken wasteland to who-knows-where. And by the time you realize this isn't reality, you are already trapped in the 'nightmare'.

useful information

~Basic structure of 'dream world'~
Each area represents a different part of Mirai's body or memories. For instance- the entire hospital is her 'unstable' immune system, which turns against her in nightmare mode due to the disease's toll on her. In a way of speaking, due to each area representing a part of her, each part of her is directly linked to the area- damage to the area is damage to her body, thus why she must try and protect herself in Nightmare mode. In Dream mode (Since the world changes between the two randomly no matter where you are), it is like a time to recover from the mess you got into. There is a power up to force change the world, however it is not recommended. For areas relating to Mirai's memories, they are very unstable and constantly shift from nightmare to dream mode and back again. Usually there are a lot more chasers in the memory areas, not including the small town (town she grew up in).

~Chasers~
Not all chasers are the same, there are many different ones in her 'dream' depending on the area they are in, and even then most of them are shape-shifting and change forms randomly. For instance- Nurses are chasers in the hospital, and "iiiiiiiii" in memory areas. 'iiiiiiiii' however, is one of the few chasers that only chases you if you have a specific power up on.

- More info will most likely be added.

Power Ups

Tyndallers: Save Function- Mirai takes off her hat, cuts open her head and pries part of her brain open to save.

Disease: slightly similar to 'ghost effect'- Turns you into a nightmare mode monster-looking version of Mirai. Makes nightmare-mode enemies see you as allies and they wont attack you, however it makes Dream Mode allies see you as an enemy.
Rusty Scalpel: Weapon of Choice- can be used to attack things or open pathways that are blocked depending on the pathway. Also makes creatures in dream mode run away due to fright.

Axe Tail: Special effect- gotten during an event where 'Nite' is out of bed. Using this power up keeps all enemies away from you in nightmare mode. Is not needed to complete game.

Dead: Visual only effect/event- An effect that is used only for visual, like dress in .flow. This effect makes Mirai appear dead, and she crawls on the ground to walk, leaving a small blood trail. This also makes you go slower than usual. 'iiiiiiiii' chases you when you use this effect.

Trenchcoat: Visual only effect- Mirai wears a trenchcoat.

Defibrillator: Return to 'nexus' (Main hospital room)- Use a Defibrillator to shock yourself back to the nexus.

Eye Drops: Force change nightmare/dream mode- change areas between nightmare and dream mode at will.

(More effects will be added)

Characters

Mirai: Player

The Doctor: Chaser (rare/event)/npc - rarely appears outside of the 'doctors office'. If you enter the doctors office in nightmare mode he, like most chasers, takes you to a dead-end area. (specifically a hospital room, in which if you stay in it for too long without warping out of the area you'll get game over due to it slowly being filled with nightmare disease)

Nite: NPC/Special power- The girl that resembles the nightmare disease in general. She is feared by all dreams and nightmares and gives you the special power up, 'axe tail', in which makes all enemies and 'allies' away from you when being used.

Chasers:
'iiiiiiiii'- A shadowlike creature with one eye and a deformed mouth. it has nine legs and one arm, and long red hair that generally covers its face. Only chases when you have the "Dead" effect on.

Nurses- Resemble 'white blood cells' of mirai's body. However, in nightmare mode they become chasers and attack Mirai in the hospital.

There is more that is going to be added, however I have to get ready for bed now

(More information to be added, for not all 'chasers' have been thought of yet)

(there are more characters as well)
